Pitney Bowes Named a Leader in Location Intelligence Platforms by Independent Research Firm

STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 5, 2018-- Pitney Bowes (NYSE:PBI), a global technology company that provides commerce solutions in the areas of ecommerce, shipping, mailing, and data, today announced that the company has been recognized as a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: Location Intelligence Platforms, Q4 2018.

In this major market evaluation, Forrester recognizes Pitney Bowes as being a leader among Location Intelligence vendors that were evaluated along three high-level categories:

  • Current offering, whichincludes criteria such as location intelligence data management, spatial visualization and analytics, data products, execution and optimization, and platform experience.
  • Strategy, whichincludes criteria such as product vision, execution road map, performance, supporting services, and partner ecosystem.
  • Market presence, whichincludes criteria such as platform revenue, enterprise customers, and deal size.

The Pitney Bowes Location Intelligence platform scored the highest out of all evaluated vendors in the current offering category. More specifically, Pitney Bowes received the highest scores possible in the data products and product vision criteria. It also received the highest possible score in the location services and functionality criterion.

Forrester also noted Pitney Bowes strives to deliver insights through its address-centric Location Intelligence platform, which comprises six core components. These components, it said, deliver a comprehensive and scalable set of spatial analytics capabilities that typical power users, such as GIS professionals, require. But they also provide capabilities for democratizing spatial insights to business and operational users through the Spectrum Technology Platform.

“Not all data is created equal. For nearly a century, we’ve been perfecting our legacy in names and addresses to apply spatial context to data through our location intelligence suite of solutions,” says Bob Guidotti, EVP & President, Pitney Bowes Software and Data. “We believe that the value of our solutions is being recognized in the market for its ability to empower our clients to do so much more with their data through precise analysis and visualization.”

Pitney Bowes Location Intelligence solutions are built on the flagship Spectrum Technology Platform, which helps organizations identify customers and locate opportunities to enable commerce across the full commerce continuum with speed and agility. By accessing these solutions through the Pitney Bowes Commerce Cloud, GIS professionals and the “GIS curious” can better aggregate, cleanse, enrich and analyze data in ways that are contextually relevant; and offer the ability to create a complete and accurate, single view of a customer, pulling together data across disparate sources, to better engage customers with best next action and drive a superior customer experience.
