STAMFORD, Conn., July 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Fortune Magazine has recognized Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE: PBI) for its diversity efforts and has listed the company as number 44 in Fortune's most recent 50 Best Companies for Minorities list. "We are very pleased that Fortune Magazine recognized our longstanding commitment to diversity, which dates back to the 1940s," said Michael J. Critelli, Chairman and CEO of Pitney Bowes and Chairman, Board of Trustees, National Urban League. "Diversity is part of our DNA at Pitney Bowes. The ranking is based on a model that weighs data-driven information such as number of minorities in the workforce and on the board of directors, the rate at which minority employees are hired and fired, and management accountability for hiring, promotion, and retention.
