Pitney Bowes Inc., (NYSE:PBI) the world leader in mail and messaging technology, today announced a partnership with Trilogy Software, Inc., a leading provider of sales, marketing and electronic commerce solutions for the front office.

Together, the two companies will provide businesses of all sizes with an efficient, easy-to-use tool for buying Pitney Bowes' mailing, shipping and addressing supplies online. Using Trilogy's Buying Chain Software, an Intranet e-commerce application, companies can take full advantage of the efficiencies of online buying while automating approval routings and purchasing processes.

Using Trilogy's Buying Chain technology, customers can create and manage custom, pre-approved catalogs of supplies that employees can access right from their workstations. The software simplifies ordering and gives management control of these transactions. In addition, Pitney Bowes will offer their customers a ten percent price reduction on all orders taken through the site using Buying Chain software.

Pitney Bowes will also become a member of Trilogy's B-Commerce (Business Commerce) program, thereby bringing a new category of products and services to the Buying Chain community. This will better enable users to manage their mailing, shipping and addressing operations. Further, as a B-Commerce Partner, Pitney Bowes will be able to offer multi-vendor purchasing and reporting to all of its customers while at the same time providing them with the ability to automate and manage online purchasing from the Pitney Bowes web site.
