Pitney Bowes Completes DHL Certification

        Ascent(R) Users Can Now Access Full Range of New DHL Services

STAMFORD, Conn., May 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE: PBI), a leading supplier of multi-carrier shipping solutions, today announced that its Ascent(R) package management solution is one of the first multi-carrier systems in the United States to be certified to support DHL's new module, which supports a comprehensive offering of domestic and international services.

With the new single DHL module, customers who use the Ascent(R) shipping solution can leverage DHL's domestic and international services, including DHL Next Day 10:30 AM, 12:00 PM, and 3:00 PM; DHL 2nd Day Service; business-to-consumer service DHL@home, as well as Worldwide Priority Express and International Document Service. The newly-integrated DHL technology is one of the first enhancements to result from a strategic relationship between Pitney Bowes and DHL that focuses on developing and delivering new products to better serve joint customers. Pitney Bowes is offering this technology to new customers and working proactively with DHL to upgrade existing customers. Other Pitney Bowes multi-carrier products are in process to be certified in the near future.
