STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 15, 1999--

Company to Offer Two PC-based Postage Solutions for Small Businesses

Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE: PBI) announced that it has received approval from the U.S. Postal Service to begin the final phase of beta testing for ClickStamp(TM) Online and ClickStamp(TM) Plus, its two PC-based postage products for small businesses. This approval expands testing to small business owners nationwide, and is the last stage before market launch.

ClickStamp(TM) Online, an Internet-enabled solution, and its hardware-based counterpart, ClickStamp(TM) Plus, are part of the PitneyWorks(TM) comprehensive suite of mailing, shipping, messaging, marketing and financial products that Pitney Bowes offers to small businesses. Both are quick, accurate and secure. In addition, ClickStamp(TM) Online and ClickStamp(TM) Plus offer:

--Address verification to ensure accurate and speedy delivery

--Mail list management

--Design capabilities to produce professional looking envelopes every time
