The Pitney Bowes Production Mail and Document Factory Solutions Division of Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE: PBI), today announced that it will showcase a full suite of mailing hardware, software and integration services at the MAILCOM '99 Annual Fall Convention, October 17-20, in Las Vegas, NV. Through presentations and demonstrations, mailing professionals will learn how they can implement a total solution within their organization that will allow them to make strategic improvements in the mailing process, ensure maximum postal discounts and reduce postal-related expenses. The total solution methodology will also help attendees identify components they may need to add in order to elevate mailing efficiency to a best-in-class level.

Pitney Bowes Production Mail and Document Factory Solutions will showcase hardware, software and integration services that maximize the efficiency, productivity and mailpiece integrity for high-volume mail center operations. The division will demonstrate its new Direct Mail 10 Series high-speed "swing arm" inserting system for direct mailers. It will show the Digital Document Delivery(TM) (D3) integrated bill presentment and payment solution for flexible bill distribution options, including Internet billing and a full suite of mailing efficiency software for address quality, presort and move update applications.

These hardware and software solutions provide the highest level of mailpiece integrity in the paper-based transaction mail arena. The file-based application provides a bridge to the overall Automated Document Factory (ADF) environment, centralizing all document-related information in a format that can be distributed to all other electronic media. Paul Greene, Executive Director of Industry Relations at Pitney Bowes will present, "Identifying the Hidden Costs of Returned Mail," on Monday, October 18 from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. During the session, Mr. Greene will demonstrate how companies can uncover the "true" cost of undeliverable messages and how undeliverable mail impacts the entire organization. He will also provide different methods, including various tools and technologies, available to companies to proactively and effectively maintain name and address information to optimize delivery of mail.

In addition, Paul Greene will be joined by Mike Murphy in an open forum discussion titled, "Addressing Issues and Solutions," to speak about the products and services Mike is responsible for at the USPS' National Address Center in Memphis. Part of the Postal Mail & Automation Seminar Track, this forum will take place Monday, October 18 from 3:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. Attendees will learn how they can deliver their messages better, faster and at the lowest rate.
