(NYSE: PBI), today announced the launch of its new Deliverability(TM) global package management software solution. DeliverAbility is a web-based, enterprise-wide, multi-carrier shipping system that is managed from a centralized server that allows users to initiate, track and validate the delivery of documents and packages right from their desktop.

DeliverAbility's multi-location enterprise capabilities standardize procedures and enforce package management policies. This provides centralized control of shipping guidelines, easy access to shipment data for reporting and cost analysis, and improved communication between corporate and mail center employees in locations worldwide.

With the DeliverAbility system, cost center codes are assigned to every shipment so charge-backs can be processed accurately and tracked for internal and external customers. This gives management the ability to control and track shipping expenses, and operations and finance staff can use shipment cost center information to analyze current operations and establish new business rules and guidelines.

• Delivery comparison -- DeliverAbility supports FedEx Air and Ground, Airborne, UPS, DHL, USPS, and customer-defined carriers. Users can base delivery decision on rates, special services or time requirements.

• Delivery status -- Shipment originators and recipients can receive automatic shipment and delivery notification emails. Users also receive detailed summaries of recent shipments.

DeliverAbility can be hosted internally by the customer through its internal IT department or an external hosting provider of its choice. Pitney Bowes has also made arrangements for hosting through an industry-leading hosting provider on behalf of its customers.
