Developers on the Pitney Bowes Commerce Cloud Create Digital Ecommerce and Shipping Solutions

STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 17, 2018-- Pitney Bowes (NYSE:PBI), a global technology company that provides innovative products and solutions to power commerce, today announced the winners of the Pitney Bowes Global Hackathon. More than 2,000 developers from major technology firms submitted 65 new technology solutions during the Global Hackathon which took place September 29 through October 8, 2017. The company has selected four winners from the 65 submissions.

The winners of the Pitney Bowes Global Hackathon are:

1. Ordoro for C-Series: Developed by Ordoro, this application enables small and medium businesses to sell to multiple ecommerce marketplaces by managing inventory and printing labels directly from the Pitney BowesSendPro C-Series device.
2. Track My Package: The second prize is awarded to Ian Noronha and Sharan Lobana from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. This solution enables real-time shipment tracking.
3. Same-Day Delivery: In a tie for second prize is Santosh Bhutkar and Pratiksha Dikshit. They created a solution that enables same-day delivery using UberRUSH integration.
4. ShipBot: The third prize is awarded to a smart customer support solution created by Margaryta Ostapchuk, Technical Evangelist at Microsoft Canada. This solution uses ChatBot and helps business owners to manage customer support and shipping needs from mobile devices.

The Hackathon invited developers and startups to build intelligent working applications for more than one million Pitney Bowes clients as they identify and locate customers, communicate with them, collect payments and ship merchandise. The applications were judged based on their business potential, user experience, and technical complexity.
